Kittinger furniture has been an Oval Office staple for many years. Most of the current Oval Office furniture is Kittinger, including beautiful reproduction Pembroke tables and a variety of seating. The set of six chairs shown above are custom Oval Office occasional chairs. We were pleased to have one of the production group of these chairs briefly in Boston this spring for a museum presentation.
The current “Fireside” chairs in which Prince William and President Obama were seated have been reproduced by Kittinger for the Oval Office presentations at both the Clinton Presidential Library and the George W. Bush Presidential Library
Kittinger has been making the finest production furniture in America since just following the Civil War. For 18 years the company has been owned by a select group of Kittinger craftsmen. The furniture we ship today continues to be museum quality in design and construction, while using modern finishing materials that create pieces ever more usable in today’s environments.
Our ongoing relationship with the White House was reinvigorated in 1997 when the company was called upon to refinish and replace the leather top on the 23 foot Cabinet Room Table. While that commission was special enough, this was accomplished in an 11 day period in August while President Clinton was vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard.
In the 1990’s I was honored to be Vice President of Marketing & Sales for Kittinger’s residential division. I’m excited to again be partnered with one of America’s great companies.
